Artist Talk: Dr. Susanne Schuenke and Mary Atwood

In honor of International Artist Day (October 25), join us for our inaugural Artist Talk event! Two celebrated local artists, Dr. Susanne Schuenke and Mary Atwood, will give talks about their artwork and participate in a Q&A with attendees.

German-American artist Dr. Susanne Schuenke was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, and received her education in Cologne and London, earning her doctorate at the University of Cologne in 1986. Since then she has been living and working successfully in the USA while maintaining strong and lively connections with Europe. Dr. Schuenke has presented her works to an international public in one-person and group exhibitions in England, Germany, France, and the United States. Mary Atwood is a long-time resident of Florida’s First Coast area whose deep appreciation of its natural beauty, rich history and diverse culture is often reflected in her work. As the daughter of a World War II military photographer, Atwood grew up with a camera in hand. From there, her experiences involved learning to use a wide variety of camera equipment from Polaroid to Hasselblad, and just about everything in between.
