In June 1963, President John F. Kennedy traveled to Berlin, a city divided by the Berlin Wall and standing on the front lines of the Cold War. Hundreds of thousands gathered to hear Kennedy reaffirm America’s support for the people of West Berlin.
German historian Anette Isaacs takes you back to this historic moment, exploring the significance of Kennedy’s visit, the atmosphere surrounding his famous speech, and the lasting impact of his powerful message of American solidarity.
