Chicago has produced an extraordinary lineup of musicians who helped shape American music—from blues legends Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon to soul greats Curtis Mayfield, Sam Cooke, and Lou Rawls. The city also gave us iconic rock, folk, and groups including Chicago, Cheap Trick, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Join Rod MacDonald for an entertaining musical journey through the artists, stories, and sounds that made Chicago one of America’s most influential music capitals.
OLLI at FAU offers hundreds of engaging lectures year-round on history, science, AI, health and wellness, the arts, current events, and more. No homework, no tests—just the joy of learning.
