We live in an invisible ocean of energy. High-energy particles and electromagnetic waves constantly pass through our bodies, while life on Earth has evolved in a radiation-rich environment. Modern technology and medicine also rely on radiation in remarkable ways.
This captivating lecture explores ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, examining both its benefits and potential risks. Discover how radiation is used in medical imaging and cancer treatments, and learn how different forms of radiation can affect our bodies and environment.
Join OLLI at FAU for an enlightening journey into the invisible forces that power technology, advance medicine, and expand our understanding of the world around us.
