Bagels Over Berlin: Honor, Valor and the Jewish Airmen of WWII

Presented by Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Florida Atlantic University – Boca Raton

Experience the remarkable story of 15 Jewish airmen who volunteered to serve during World War II and flew dangerous daylight bombing missions over Nazi Germany. The program features a screening of the acclaimed documentary Bagels Over Berlin, followed by a discussion with the film’s director. Through powerful first-person accounts, discover how these courageous airmen challenged stereotypes and risked their lives fighting tyranny. Many later made their homes in Boca Raton, making this a powerful local story of courage and service.

OLLI at FAU offers hundreds of classes year-round on history, science, AI, healthy aging, current events and much more, taught by university professors—with no testing and no homework, just the joy of learning!
